Students
Your EL journey starts here.
Bring classroom theory to life
Get active in your learning and prepare yourself for your career by taking what you learn in the classroom into the real world.
At Concordia, we believe in the power of experiential learning. Learning by doing helps you absorb, retain and apply what you learn in class in a way that is more profound than by reading a textbook or listening to a lecture. Your active engagement in your learning enhances your theoretical knowledge and your skills, and increases your motivation, your adaptability and your confidence.
All of this happens while you are also adding on to your resume, building your networks, and moving towards realizing your career dreams.
Ways to learn by doing
- Do a hands-on workshop in a course.
- Learn on the job at a practicum, clinical placement or internship.
- Test theories by doing research in a lab.
- Exceed your expectations in a competition.
- Simulate a real-world situation in a course.
- Contribute to the vibrancy of your community by volunteering.
- Study abroad or participate in an international field school.
- Get active on campus in a student group.
