Policy on Environmental Health and Safety (VPS-40)

Introduction

Employees and students are entitled to a safe environment in which to work and study. Concordia University commits to making every effort to protect the health, safety and physical well-being of its students, employees and visiting public.

Policy overview

This Policy defines the roles and responsibilities of EHS in promoting and protecting the health and safety of the community. The Policy sets out, among other things, that all members of the community are expected to take reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues and other members of the community and that all must promptly report injuries, incidents and dangerous conditions to the appropriate authority.
