This exhibition in the Webster Library's display vitrines and Discovery Counter showcases a selection of publications, archival material, photographs, and illustrations on "The Life of Karl Polanyi," recognized as one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century.

Polanyi's influence continues to grow across all disciplines within the social sciences and humanities. As the complex 21st century unfolds, it is often referred to as Polanyi's century, both to understand the roots of today's crises and to chart urgently needed new pathways. The exhibition is curated by Marguerite Mendell and Ana Gomez, the Karl Polanyi Institute of Political Economy, Concordia University.
