From stress management to living with OCDs and more, the Let’s Talk Mental Heath and Wellness Week at Concordia encourages students to engage in the conversation about a wide-range of mental and emotional health concerns that can have an impact on personal and academic success.

Hosted by your Student Services, activities throughout the week will include:

Come by the Health Services table to  try a self-evaluation quiz, pick up some reliable information, and talk with the health promotion specialist and nurse. Appointments to see a professional can be booked onsite.

Manage your Mental Health workshops

Join us for a series of workshops designed to offer you relevant information and practical strategies on how to empower yourself in the face of Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

When:  Monday, February 10 through Thursday, February 13 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Let’s Talk: Mental Health and Wellness Fair

Visit the Let’s Talk pop-up kiosks offering information and interactive activities on a variety of topics, such as:

  • Anxiety, OCDs, medications and more
  • Stress management
  • Living with learning disabilities
  • Exercise, meditation and other techniques to enhance well-being
  • Managing your money to relieve stress
  • Emotionally healthy, sexual relationships and the meaning of consent
  • Volunteer engagement for a balanced life
  • Coping with loneliness, isolation and culture shock - and more

The ever-popular Valentine’s Day Relationship Fair is back. Take a personality quiz and learn about compatibility and communication within healthy and emotionally satisfying relationships.

Living Far Away from Home and Adjusting to University Life

Do you miss your family back home? Are you or someone you know having a difficult time making new friends and/or adjusting to university life? In this workshop participants will learn what homesickness is, including its stages and symptoms.
