As part of the National Caregiver Week, the Concordia University Research Chair (CURC) in Aging and Public Policy and the Center for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS) of the Integrated Health and Social Services University Network for West-Central Montreal (West-Central Montreal Health) are organizing a thematic Conference on Caregiving, particularly on caregivers of older adults.
This event aims to raise awareness on caregiving issues and the implications for practice in health and social service organizations and the community sector. This will be a day of learning, exchanges, and networking where best practices, models, and intervention tools will be identified. It is aimed for practitioners, managers, community organizations, and the research community whose work touches older adults experiencing loss of autonomy and their caregivers.
This activity will be held in English.
* For social workers who are members, this continuing education activity is free and accredited by the OTSTCFQ (7 hrs).
** Lunch is not included, however there are a lot of restaurants near the University.

Dans le cadre de la Semaine nationale des proches aidants, la Chaire de recherche de l’université Concordia sur le vieillissement et les politiques publiques et le Centre de recherche et d'expertise en gérontologie sociale (CREGÉS) du Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Centre‑Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal (CIUSSS Centre-Ouest Montréal) organisent une conférence thématique sur les défis actuels et à venir concernant les proches aidants de personnes âgées.
Cet événement vise à sensibiliser les acteurs concernés aux enjeux et à l’incidence de ces enjeux sur la pratique au sein d’organismes de soins de santé et de services sociaux et du secteur communautaire. Cette journée consacrée à l’apprentissage, aux échanges et au réseautage vise à identifier les meilleures pratiques, modèles et outils d’interventions. Cette activité s’adresse aux praticiens, aux gestionnaires, aux organismes communautaires et à la communauté de chercheurs qui s’intéressent aux proches aidants et aux personnes âgées en perte d’autonomie.
Veuillez noter que cette activité se déroulera en ANGLAIS.
* Pour les travailleurs, travailleuses sociaux qui en sont membres, cette activité de formation continue est gratuite et accréditée par l’OTSTCFQ (7 heures).
