Health promotion services

Presentations & workshops 

Concordia’s Health Promotion Specialists promote health education across the entire Concordia community. This includes class presentations and presentations to staff and faculty on a variety of healthy living/wellness topics, consultations for university committees, curriculum infusion, and more. 

CU Wellness hosts workshops about a variety of mental health and wellness topics, including managing stress and anxiety, time management and procrastination, relationships, self-compassion, movement and more.

GradProSkills Wellness and Life Balance workshops support graduate students in finding balance in their personal and academic lives and provide strategies to deal with stress and uncertainty. 

One-on-one counselling

Concordia’s Health Promotion Specialists offer one-on-one appointments with Concordia students to help you set and achieve your health goals. They can help you make changes for better health including quitting smoking, becoming more active, sleeping well, achieving a healthy weight, managing stress and more.

Fitness & personal training

Concordia Recreation offers in-person and online fitness activities, intramural sports competition, one-on-one personal training, and more. With more than 70 offerings spread across both campuses, there is something for everyone. 

Concordia’s School of Health offers health and fitness programming to Concordians and the general community.

Nutrition counselling

Concordia’s Health Promotion Specialists provide nutrition guidance for students who want to improve their eating habits. This service offers reliable information and goal-setting strategies. 

Find a dietitian in Canada by searching the Dietitians of Canada’s database of registered dietitians, which can be filtered by criteria such as language and location.

Jessy Cheung is a registered dietitian and a member of the Concordia Recreation team. She offers consultations at affordable prices to the Concordia community. Many of Concordia's student health plans afford some coverage to see an RD; explore your plan to learn more.
