Grant application process
This page will help guide you through the process of submitting your funding application though the Concordia Research Administration Database (ConRAD) and to the funding agencies.
Develop your proposal
Once you have identified a funding opportunity, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the grant application process and timeline. Online user accounts and passwords to access agency forms may be required. Our Research Development Team will be able to advise you accordingly.
Grant application submission process
Submitting a well-developed research grant/proposal involves several steps to ensure a successful submission and timely response. Here is a simple step-by-step guide to follow once you have completed your proposal:
Using the comments and suggestions, prepare the final version of the application and all necessary copies.
Review the funding agency/sponsors guidelines and requirements and ensure your application meets all criteria.
Your final version should be submitted to Concordia’s Office of Research (OOR) at least three working days before the agency deadline to ensure sufficient time to receive approval from the university.
Upload and submit your complete application and all supporting documentation to ConRAD.
The university’s approval process occurs through the ConRAD system. Your application will be reviewed by one of our research development advisors, your Faculty and the Office of Research for final approval. You may receive comments or feedback that will need to be addressed in your proposal.
The grant application is then submitted electronically to the agency.

Using ConRAD
To access ConRAD off-campus, you must log into Concordia's VPN service.
We recommend that you use Firefox or Chrome as your browser. The system does not work well with Safari.
You can access ConRAD directly or via Carrefour and your My Account Page.
In My CU Account, you will also find your Explore Concordia profile, the online form for submitting and updating your Explore Concordia page. Please take this opportunity to review and update your page. If you do not have an Explore Concordia page, please have one created.
