Tuition tax receipts

You can access your tuition tax receipts online for the previous taxation year as of the end of February by logging into the Student Hub, going to My CU Account and selecting Financial.

Amounts that factor into your tuition tax receipt

Your tax receipt reflects tuition for courses you took in the tax year in question. Concordia will not issue you a tuition tax receipt if you did not take classes that year. If you began your studies at Concordia in January 2024, for example, it is entirely normal that no 2023 tax receipt appears in My CU Account.  Your receipt reflects all tuition paid, including any courses you dropped after the DNE date (i.e. DISC'd courses) and any courses you failed.

For a full-year course, your credit load splits evenly across both fall and winter terms.

Your tuition tax receipt is limited to tuition paid. It does not include other student fees like health insurance.

Your receipt does not include unpaid tuition amounts. Once you have paid an outstanding balance, you may access an updated tuition tax receipt via My CU Account. Concordia recalculates tuition tax receipt amounts regularly. Contact students@concordia.ca for any questions about updates to a tax receipt.

Status at Concordia for tuition tax receipts

For enrolment purposes, Concordia considers you a part-time student if you took nine credits or fewer, but parameters differ for tax receipts. If you were enrolled in nine credits or more, you are deemed a full-time student for tax purposes.

If you completed a Co-op term, and you were enrolled in fewer than nine credits, you will be deemed part-time for income tax purposes.

Concordia provides Canadian federal (T2202) and provincial (RL-8) tax receipts only. If you are filing taxes in the US, you can use the information on the T2202, along with Concordia's Employer Identification Number (EIN), 98-1422233.
