Employers' Choice Award

Ching-Ching Wang
Business Technology Management

"Ching-Ching went above what is expected from interns in terms of contributing and making a difference to the organization. She demonstrated exceptional skills, qualities and personal attributes that employers appreciate and require. She made significant contributions within the organization and to projects that the Co-op student is assigned to or may have created. She received recognition for her work and above average work-term evaluations. There will always be a place for Ching-Ching at CAE to grow, learn and build a career." — Gary Lord, CAE Inc.

Employers' Choice Award

Kimberly Rutherford
Mechanical Engineering

"Kim's contribution during her placement at the European Space Agency has been outstanding.

Throughout her internship, Kim was asked to work on the results of a major test, in parallel and independently of the work performed by industry. Her results were considered so valuable that we decided to share them widely, and Kim kindly accepted to present her work at the European Space Thermal Engineering workshop in October 2019. She made an excellent presentation in front of some 200 representatives of the European community. Her analysis demonstrated excellent cognitive and behavioural skills. It has been a real pleasure to work with Kim as a member of the team." — Benoit Laine, European Space Agency

Employers' Choice Award

Alyssa Dumoulin
Biology

"Last summer, Alyssa was in charge of producing recombinant galectins and galectin-specific nanobodies using bacterial expression systems. She did play a central role in our research program. Her organization skills are simply outstanding. She is an exceptionally bright, mature and hard working student who is fully appreciated by her co-workers. Her work ethic and communication skills are excellent. She is an exceptional and promising young student – probably the best undergrad student I supervised over my 25+ year career." — Yves St-Pierre, INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier

"Kiewit is an employee-owned company and working there feels just like being part of a big family. Everybody that starts new, whether it be as an intern or full-time employee, gets a supervisor assigned to them that will delegate tasks and make sure the beginner is on the right path. In addition, a mentor is also assigned, generally a younger engineer, that is there to provide guidance, share experiences and answer any questions. I was lucky to have the opportunity to join Kiewit during my internship, which ended up with a full-time employment offer."
— Alexandra Logigan, Engineering Student

"If I say CEO shadowing was a four-month crash course for an entire MBA, it would still be an understatement as one can learn a lot more than that. You learn things about the company, which you could learn only after several years of experience of working in different roles. Talking about my day-to-day life as a CEO shadow, I used to join Eric Saint-Jacques (CEO e2ip Technologies) in all his meetings, be it C-suite meetings, M&A meetings, or Board of Directors meetings. To be honest, I would have loved to live in the office!" — Ganesh Swami, MBA Student
