One last newsletter before the summer!

While the department remains open throughout the summer, this newsletter is taking a little break and will be back in August. Best wishes for a great summer, whether you are hitting the books or the beach.

The University will conduct the annual assessment for all undergraduate students who attempted 12 credits or more during the 2023-24 academic year (Summer 2023, Fall 2023, Winter 2024). Students in Conditional or Failed standing will be informed of their next steps by email in late May.

Meet our faculty!

Axel Watanabe joined our faculty in 2018 as an urban economist working in the areas of city-size distributions, labor mobility and network theory. Dr. Watanabe will be teaching ECON 201 Introduction to Microeconomics, ECON 492 Advanced Urban Economics, and ECON 695 Special Topics: Urban Economics in 2024-25.
