Scotiabank executives discuss gift to empower Indigenous and international students
‘We like to support organizations that are dealing with barriers to career advancement’
Two Scotiabank executives and Concordia volunteers — Sylvain Corbeil, Senior Vice-President, National Accounts and Business Banking, and Maria Mangiocavallo, Regional Vice-President, Commercial Banking, Quebec — describe the significance of a $1.4-million gift to the Campaign for Concordia to advance cohorts of Indigenous and international students through two programs at the university: the Kaié:ri Nikawerà:ke Indigenous Bridging Program and the Career Roadmap for International Student Excellence.
Corbeil and Mangiocavallo have long served as honorary co-presidents of the Concordia Golf Classic. Double alumna Mangiocavallo also serves on the advisory board of the John Molson School of Business.
