I am currently working on investigating and optimizing a protocol for the synthesis of chimeric oligonucleotides.
Previous work
I had the opportunity to work in Dr. Wilds’ Lab for my Independent Undergraduate Project to explore a strategy to make chimeric oligonucleotides employing H-phosphonate chemistry. During this time, I learned about various techniques for preparing oligonucleotides using phosphoramidite and H-phosphonate chemistry and characterize them using gel electrophoresis, UV spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
