Concordia has an educational site license for Maple software from Maplesoft. It is a simple way to get Maple licenses to active faculty, staff and graduate students of the University. The site license includes the installation of Maple on University owned computers and on employee and graduate students’ personally owned computer

How to get it
- To request the installation of Maple on a university owned computer, contact your department IT-representative or the Service Desk.
- For the home-use version, visit the Webster Library Course Reserve Room (LB-201) with your Concordia University employee ID or graduate student ID. The installation disc is available to borrow for a 3 day loan period.

An educational site license is a subscription licensing program for higher educational institution offering a simple way to get Maple licenses to active faculty, staff and graduate students of the University. The licensed software can be installed on any computer owned by the University at no cost, for use by an employee for academic instruction, teaching and academic research only. The home-use version of the software can be installed on an employee's personally owned computer located at the employee's home and primarily used by the employee for the use or support of instruction, teaching and academic research. This site license also allows graduate students to install the home-use license on the student's personal computer only.
The cost of the educational site license is based on the number of Employees and not on the number of computers owned by the University. The employee and graduate student must agree to Maple's Home-Use License Agreement found at: www.maplesoft.com/documentation_center/Maplesoft_EULA.pdf
Software Products Covered by the Site License:
Only Maple software and available add-ons, if any, are covered by this site license. Add-ons offered may change, at any time, at Maplesoft's discretion. Only English versions of the software will be deployed on University owned computers. At no time will IITS (or any University IT staff) distribute Maple software in any format (CD, DVD, ISO image, etc.).
Purchasing Practices:
Any purchase request for software products covered by the Maplesoft Educational site license will not be authorized by the University's Purchasing Services Department. Any purchase request for products not covered by the Maplesoft Educational site license must be approved, as part of standard purchasing procedures, by the University's Purchasing Services Department.
Home-Use or Graduate Student Use of Maplesoft License Program:
The University's Maplesoft Educational site license allows home-use licenses by employees to be used on an employee's personally owned computer at the employee's residence primarily for the use or support of instruction, teaching and academic research. This site license also allows graduate student use licenses on the student's personal computer only. For installation on a personally owned computer, the employee or graduate student will have to borrow the Maple software media from the Webster Library Course Reserve Room (LB-201) by showing a valid employee or graduate student ID card. No technical support will be provided by the University's IT staff or by Maplesoft for home use or student use of the software.
The software obtained for home-use or graduate student use is registered to the employee or the graduate student and may not be transferred. Furthermore, the software will have to be removed from their personally owned computer immediately upon expiration of the University’s licensed period or earlier if their employment or studies with the University should come to an end.
