The Concordia University Libraries Christmas Auction Committee is holding its annual Christmas Auction on Monday, December 14, 2015.
Every year the Library staff of Concordia hold an auction to raise funds for charitable organizations in our community.
When: Noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015.
Where: J.A. De Sève Cinema, LB-125 in the Library Building (J. W. McConnell Building) at 1400 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West, Montreal QC H3G 1M8 (between MacKay Street and Bishop Street).
Admission is $2 at the door, or the purchase of a raffle ticket.
Food will be sold. Auctionable items in the past have included signed hockey sticks from the Montreal Canadiens to books, CDs, jams, original paintings, hand crafted jewelry, cosmetics, and gift certificates to downtown restaurants.
Many one-of-a-kind items will be auctioned off — there is something for everyone!
Funds raised from the auction will benefit the following organizations:
Auberge Madeleine, Can Serve Foundation, Chez Doris, CODE (Canadian Organization for Development through Education), Concordia University Centre for the Arts in Human Development (CAHD), Multi-Faith Chaplaincy and Financial Aids and Awards, Dans la Rue, the Gazette Christmas Fund, Operation Eyesight Universal, OXFAM, Sun Youth, and the Women's Centre of Montreal.
