Thesis title: Reframing the Game: How the interaction between technology, culture, and marketing plays along in the platform society
Sâmia is a Brazilian journalist, also a former entrepreneur, reporter, and press relation consultant (Brazil). She is a recent PhD graduate from Communication Studies at Concordia University, and holds an MA degree in Digital Humanities from the University of Alberta. Her doctoral research explored the cultural, social, and economic implications of the video game industry. Sâmia's background spans various disciplines and mediums: Media Studies, Game Studies, Journalism, Digital Humanities, 3d Sculpting and Modelling, 3D Printing and Graphic Design (print & digital).
