Hanine El Mir

Hanine El Mir is a PhD student looking at food accessibility within fishing mini-games and farming simulators.
As a game designer, Hanine works for fun and plays for a living. She holds an MA in Social & Cultural Anthropology from Concordia University, a BA in English Literature and a BA in Media/Communications, with two minors in Film/Visual Studies and Arabic Language, from the American University of Beirut.
Her interest in food stability and accessibility shapes her life’s activities while sitting on the boards of the People’s Potato and the Concordia Food Coalition. Hanine is also a member of the mLab and TAG - the Technoculture, Art and Games Research Centre, as well as a coordinator of Pixelles’ Make Games Program.
