Adam is currently completing a Master’s in Journalism at Concordia University in Montreal. With a background in multimedia content creation, digital strategy, and social media, Adam’s work focuses on the intersection of journalism, mental health, and the psychology of news consumption. Driven by a deep concern for the mental strain often associated with following the news, Adam’s research investigates how news could be presented in ways that minimize harm without detracting from civic engagement.
Their thesis project includes the development of an AI chatbot designed to deliver balanced, conversational news updates. This AI project aims to explore methods of news delivery that reduce cognitive fatigue and polarization while preserving mental wellness, hoping to model healthier practices for both consumers and news organizations. Adam is also interested in integrating creative elements into their research, including visual storytelling and interactive media, as part of their commitment to progressive journalistic practices.
Thesis title: "Curating Fear: Reframing News For Mental Health"
