Thesis Title: Female Madrasa Education in Bangladesh: Prospects for Empowerment

Ammena Tarannum is a first-year graduate student, currently pursuing her M.A. in Religions and Cultures at Concordia University. She completed a master's in Economics and another in Business Administration back in her home country, Bangladesh. She worked as a finance manager and a banker before she decided to pursue her dream of doing research in the field of religion and women, as well as in women's education and work. She hopes to do a PhD in this field and work to better the lives of impoverished women and girls worldwide.
