Thesis title: The Personification of Death in the Western World
Christian is pursuing a M.A. in Religions and Cultures at Concordia University. He completed his B.A. at Concordia University with a major in Religions and Cultures combined with a minor in Law from Université de Montréal and holds previous undergraduate and graduate science degrees from McGill University and Université de Montréal. His academic interests include the evolution of the personification of death in the Western world, from its pre-Abrahamic and Abrahamic origins through the middle-ages up to modern day popular culture.
Similarly to the evolution of the figure of Satan, the evolution of the personification of death reflects human preoccupations, cultural influences, changing social paradigms and historical events, and is the center of Christian’s research.
