Aiden Cyr

Aiden Cyr is Red River Métis from Manitoba. At Concordia, a distinguished political science and SCPA undergrad career fuelled his nomination as a Schwarzman Scholar, a fully funded Masters of Global Affairs at Asia's #1 ranked Tsinghua University. Formerly, he was a key spokesperson and youth advocate for the Moose Hide Campaign, a movement of men and boys dedicated to ending violence against Indigenous and non-Indigenous women and children.

Aiden testifies that his time at SCPA helped him develop a passion for restructuring our economies towards social impact and environmental protection:

At the school, I learned how community-oriented policies create the long-term social transformations we’re looking for, like a better democracy, improved health outcomes, or a more equitable economy.

He is now working for the Federal Government in the Policy Analyst Recruitment and Development Program (PARDP) at Natural Resources Canada, and you may also read his writings on the future of work, in the Philanthropist.
