As an Indigenous person, attending the School of Community and Public Affairs at Concordia University was extremely exciting for me. Concordia was like a second home to me. In my younger years, I dreamed of attending university. I was able to fulfill a long-time dream. As I was walking to pick up my BA degree, it was exciting, and in whispering to myself, I did it. Moving forward, I was part of a working team that completed a three-year study on transportation infrastructure in the Eeyou-Istchee (Northern Quebec). The Quebec government and Cree Nation government provided the funding. The knowledge and academic achievements I accomplished at Concordia allow me to use my skills in the workplace. My transition from being a student at Concordia to working in the job market enhanced my confidence in completing the work we had to do. Thank you, SCPA and Concordia!
