Gbenga Babatope

Gbenga Babatope is pursuing an MA in Theological Studies. His academic journey was driven by a profound interest in the historical and spiritual movements that shaped modern Christianity. Specializing in revivalism, Gbenga developed an intense fascination with the Second Great Awakening in the USA, particularly the works and influence of Charles G. Finney.

Gbenga is passionate about exploring how Finney's emphasis on personal conversion and social reform continues to resonate in contemporary religious practice. His research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the transformative power of revivalist movements and their enduring legacy in the Christian faith.
