Adam Mbowe

Adam Mbowe was born in the USA, raised in Alberta, and is now based in Montreal, Quebec. As a filmmaker and video artist, Adam explores the boundaries of visual storytelling with a focus on digital formats, sociological phenomena, third cultures, satire, the spectacle, and screen cultures. Their work often takes a playful approach to social commentary and Black identity.

Adam is currently pursing her master’s degree in Cinematic Arts from Concordia University and continues to work in installations and short films.
