Meryam Joobeur is a Montreal-based filmmaker of Tunisian descent, who works in both documentary and fiction. Her filmmaking blends social awareness with a poetic cinematic approach. Through her films, she delves into themes of identity, immigration, race, and the roots of extremism, viewing cinema as a powerful tool for community learning and engagement.
