Xénia Lucie Laffely
Fibres & Material Practices
Program
Through the creation of fleshy and seductive textile pieces, my practice playfully interrogates issues related to digital culture, vanity, domestic space, failure, consumerism and lesbian love. The imagery weaves together my personal daily life snapshots and memories, infused with popular references and AI-generated glitches, creating narratives that are both sentimental and slightly unsettling. Through patchwork, layering, embroidering and quilting, my pieces highlight the richness of a material-led approach to textiles.
