Taoyu Chen

My name is Taoyu Chen. I come from China. I'm working on creating an unconventional metaverse that escapes reality.

I majored in public art during my undergraduate studies. My works mainly focus on installation art and digital art, usually using programming, web pages, and sound as creation media. My works investigate structural systems such as human-computer relationships, collective behaviour and online economy in the post-industrial society. I make interactive installation, sound art and net art to critique these contemporary systems with a sense of playfulness. One of my methodologies is to observe and study biological behaviours in nature, in search of visual metaphors for human society.
