About Khaled
Khaled is an international student from Egypt, in his third year of electrical engineering. He has a perfect GPA and has been on the Dean's List since he began his degree. In addition to his own academic success, Khaled helps his fellow students as a math tutor and team lead at Concordia's Student Success Centre. His one piece of advice for peers...
Take it easy. You are trying your best and we are all very proud of you. Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone has their own path to success. You just have to find yours.
Three keys to his academic success
- Being Confident. Not freaking out before every exam I have is one thing I'm very thankful for.
- Enjoying what I study. People think I'm crazy when I say I'm enjoying university, but the truth is I just found my passion and am following it.
- Having the support of family and friends. As an international student and with the rise of COVID-19, life was not easy. Nevertheless, I am lucky to have my family and friends supporting me through it all and allowing me to focus on my academics.
Two study tips
- Manage your time and plan ahead. Preparing a weekly schedule can make studying go a lot smoother.
- Focus on understanding during lectures instead of taking notes. Do take notes, but your priority is to utilize the presence of the professor and to understand.
Khaled's next big goal
