Benoît Pelland Alumna/Alumnus of the Year

A passionate philanthropist, proud Quebecer and Canadian, Diane Dunlop-Hébert has spent her adult life promoting the advancement of women and children in society. 

Her extensive philanthropic efforts and unwavering commitment to community development have left an enduring legacy of progress, inclusion and generosity. She has championed equity and opportunities, particularly in sport, inspiring future generations of athletes and leaders.

Dunlop-Hébert has served as president of Golf Canada, demonstrating exceptional leadership and vision in promoting the sport nationwide. In 2015, she became one of the first female members of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland. This historic milestone paved the way for greater inclusivity within one of the world’s most prestigious golf institutions. Her transformative contributions both in Canada and internationally continue to elevate women in sport and enrich the lives of countless individuals. 

Following her graduation from Concordia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1982, Dunlop-Hébert went on to become a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés Du Québec. Now retired from the Order, she devotes her time to volunteer work in the not-for-profit sector. 

Dunlop-Hébert received a Golf Canada Foundation Legacy Award in 2021 and was elected to the Quebec Golf Hall of Fame in 2024.

She was honoured by the Concordia University Alumni Association in 2025 with the Benoît Pelland Alumna of the Year Award.
