Rosa Cerone has been the Internship Coordinator for Concordia’s Department of Education since July 2012, but she has worked for the university intermittently since 1988. Her commitment to her work and her department is without equal.
Rosa’s nomination for the Outstanding Staff Award was backed by 24 individual letters from faculty, staff, students and alumni — each with their own stories about Cerone’s warmth, dedication, guidance and encouragement.
Below is an excerpt from just one of the letters:
“I cannot even find words that express how good Rosa is to our community,” says Ann-Louise Davidson, associate professor at Concordia.
“She goes above and beyond the call of duty, she cares for our students and she is amazingly efficient in her work. Moreover, the significant partnerships Rosa has created with the employers are instrumental to the success of our internship program. We admit over forty graduate students a year, which Rosa always manages to place for six-month long internships or for field experiences.”
