Join us in celebrating the 100th anniversary of James Joyce’s famed novel, Ulysses, with presenters who have themselves been transformed by his work.

On this centenary, The Festival Montreal Bloomsday Academic Panel will focus on the continuing interest in Joyce and his work – how Joyce continues to incite, inspire, infuriate and delight, in words, music, and conversation.

In addition to Joyce Reading Group leaders, Concordia academics and Joyce enthusiasts, we are pleased to welcome Harvard graduate Benjamin Wenzelberg whose original opera, NIGHTTOWN, which premiered in 2022, was based on scenes from Ulysses.

This event takes place as part of Bloomsday Montreal's week-long celebration, running from June 11-16. Learn more about other scheduled activities here.
