The Dead Man is Nora Gold’s her most recent book. Her previous novel, Fields of Exile, won the 2015 Canadian Jewish Literary Award. Gold is also the author of the acclaimed Marrow and Other Stories, which won the 1999 Canadian Jewish Book Award, and was praised by Alice Munro. In addition, Gold is the creator and editor of the prestigious online literary journal JewishFiction.net, the organizer of the Wonderful Women Writers Series, the Writer-in-Residence and an Associate Scholar at CSWE/OISE/University of Toronto and a community activist.
