First talk on Monday, 31 October, 2022 at 5:00 PM ET: "Israel Votes 2022: Candidates, Parties, Blocs and Possible Outcomes"
About the talk:
On November 1st, Israeli voters will go to the polls once again to elect a new Knesset. What are the short and long-term reasons for Israel's seemingly never-ending cycle of elections and instability? How do politicians and political parties strategize in this increasingly uncertain party system? At the end of the talk we look into a crystal ball to predict possible outcome on the eve of the election.
Second talk on Monday, 14 November, 2022 at 5:00 PM ET: "Who will Form the 37th Israeli government?"
About the talk:
Over the past two years, Israeli politicians experimented with two National Unity coalitions: the 35th "Netanyahu-Gantz" and the 36th "Bennett -Lapid" governments. What will be the most likely coalitions that we can expect after the November 2022 elections? In this lecture, we will try to answer this question by looking for clues in the history of past Israeli government formations.
