Biography: Manus McGuire is an Irish fiddle player from Sligo, now based in East Clare. Growing up in a musical environment, he was influenced by the region's fiddle legends like Michael Coleman, James Morrison, and Paddy Killoran. Alongside his brother Seamus, he continues this rich tradition.
Manus has recorded solo albums, duos with Seamus, and with bands such as Buttons and Bows, Moving Cloud, and Brock McGuire Band. He has received several prestigious awards, including Male Irish Traditional Musician of the Year in 2006 by the Irish American News and the Bravo Award from Trad Magazine in 2007. Manus won the Fiddler of Dooney contest in 1970 and is now dedicated to teaching intermediate and advanced fiddle players.
