Join us this fall on a cycling tour using the Wastescapes APP.  Tours will be hosted by Liz Miller (Communication Studies) and MJ Thompson (Art Education) in collaboration with Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling and Loyola Sustainability Research Center. We will share the backstory and visit a few sites. Before each tour you will want to download the Wastescapes App on your Iphone or Android.

Waste Waters cycling tour follows the Route Verte 5 cycling path, past Montreal’s port and key industrial sites in the city's infrastructure. This tour highlights the hidden effects of industrial waste on our soils and waters, from underground gas pipelines to buried streams. It also highlights ways in which local artists and activists are trying to bring life to water, waste, and to the city's fallow places.

Meet up: “Interceptor Inspection Site” on App, Corner of Joliette & Notre Dame Est, Coordinates: 45.54306, -73.53611

This event is part of Campus Sustainability Month at Concordia, a month-long series of events, activities, and giveaways.
