Are you an educator in search of outdoor activities and sustainable futures? Join the WasteScapes guided tours on île Ste. Hélène and île Notre-Dame this summer! Through the interactive Wastescapes app, uncover the sites’ watery histories and discuss innovative ways to inspire students to engage with the places you care about. The tour includes an exclusive viewing at the Biosphere of the immersive short film, As the Gull Flies. Film director and Concordia professor Liz Miller will discuss co-creating the film with students and plans for educational outreach.

Hosted by Liz Miller and Simone Taylor-Cape (from Concordia University) and Audray Fontaine (from Campus transition écologique)

The tour will be led in French and English. The activity will take place mainly in French; however, questions in English are always welcome.

Don’t forget to download the WasteScapes app in advance!

Places are limited so please register in advance.

** The event will take place rain or shine, so be sure to dress accordingly. The tour may be cancelled in the event of severe thunderstorms, heavy rain or extreme heat or smoke.
