Across the transition to adulthood, young people accumulate psychosocial strengths and resources that buffer stress and promote emotional well-being and success later in adulthood.

In this talk, Professor Erin Barker discusses lifespan development and positive psychology theory and research on the development of resilience during this transitional phase of the life course.

About the speaker

Erin Barker, an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and member of the Centre for Research in Human Development at Concordia University where she directs the Lifespan Well-Being Laboratory, has dedicated countless hours into demystifying the difficulties surrounding lifespan development.
