This is the launch of a conference series on Islam in the Americas.

About the talk:

This talk will focus on the manifestations and trajectory of Islamophobia in Canada in the decades since 9/11 and following the aftermath of Oct. 7 with the ongoing genocide in Gaza as the most recent acceleration point for anti-Muslim & anti-Palestinian racism. Islamophobia’s dimensions, intersections, and deadly consequences will be considered as well as the ecosystem of anti-Muslim racism in Canada where Islamophobia is being orchestrated, networked, and monetized.
