In this panel discussion, three scholars and one older adult creative collaborator will discuss how creative methodologies have been used in research with older adults. In particular, Dr Cynthia Hammond, Dr Kim Sawchuk, Dr Laurel Young, and Wendy Allen will explore the role of creative practices in relation to research on aging, how those practices may figure into empowerment in later life, and the importance and value of intergenerational, cross-cultural, and community-based research. Implications for future research and practice will be discussed with opportunities for input and questions from attendees. The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is necessary. This event has been organized by engAGE, Concordia University's Centre for Research on Aging.
