The health and wellness benefits of musical engagement are noted often in popular media and scholarly literature, specifically in relation to older adults in various contexts. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a notable increase in the number and range of online musical offerings, revealing both limitations and potentials of this medium.

In this panel discussion, three certified music therapists will present highlights from their own research and/or clinical work where they engaged with older adults in online music experiences. Implications for future research and practice will be discussed, with opportunities for input and questions from attendees.
