UpStart 2023: an innovative entrepreneurship competition

GCES (Gina Cody School Entrepreneurship Society)* is proud to present UpStart 2023, an innovative 2-day entrepreneurship competition where students come together to learn new skills and put their entrepreneurial strategies to the test. Engineering and Computer Science students from all universities in Canada are invited to join! UpStart is a great opportunity for current students and future entrepreneurs to get together and develop innovative solutions to tackle real-world problems.

Find a Solution to a problem (within our 3 themes), Build a Mockup, Create a business plan, Pitch in front of a panel of experienced judges, and Learn from the best in the industry.

The second edition of UpStart, UpStart 2023, will be hosted at the JMSB Conference Center on February 4 and 5, 2023, and is completely free. During the weekend, students can attend workshops, solve additional challenges, and network with like-minded students, industry professionals and sponsors! Winners of the competition will receive a monetary prize and the UpStart Trophy.

To participate in UpStart 2023, the participants should apply (alone or in a group of up to four people) using the application form.

Once selected, they will receive an invitation to UpStart 2023. Application forms are open from December 1, 2022, until January 16, 2023.
