Join us to celebrate the 40 years of Actuarial Mathematics at Concordia!
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics will be hosting a special reception for alumni to reconnect, and make professional contacts, in honour of the 40th anniversary of the program.
Anne Meloche, BSc 90 Head of Institutional Business, Sun Life Global Investments and David Mamane, BSc 11, Financial Services Senior Analyst at RSM will share their thoughts on their professional journey and the future, before delivering a toast to mark this significant milestone.

After joining Sun Life Global Investments in 2012, Anne advanced through several senior positions before acquiring her current role of Head of Institutional Business for Sun Life Global Investments. In this capacity, Anne is responsible for developing their strategy for their institutional business and she leads their national institutional sales team.
Anne is an active member of the Sun Life Quebec Leadership Team and was recently named Benefits and Pensions Monitor’s 2024 Elite Women by her employer.
Prior to joining Sun Life Global Investments in 2012, Anne was at Mercer Investment Consulting, where in her last years, as Partner, she managed the DC business for Eastern Canada operations and provided advice to large private and public sector organizations. Prior to this, she consulted for Morneau Shepell.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Science, Specialization Actuarial Mathematics/Institute for Co-operative Education from Concordia University. She is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
David Mamane is a key member of RSM Canada’s industry senior analysts and a partner in the firm’s consulting practice. He is well-versed in business and technology trends that shape middle market businesses in the insurance sector. As an industry thought-leader and strategic advisor, David specializes in helping clients navigate challenging business environments with data and strategic decision-making.
As a strategic advisor to RSM’s clients, David leverages his background in actuarial science, data analytics and business strategy to provide guidance and clarity. He is regularly invited to speak at key leadership conferences on insurance strategic decision-making, capital management and leadership development.
With a strong background in insurance pricing and reserving, data analytics, enterprise risk management, and stress testing, he leverages knowledge of industry trends and innovations to help clients optimize their operational processes and practices and strives to use data to drive business results.
David holds a Bachelor of Science (Specialization Actuarial Mathematics) from Concordia University. He is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society.
