With thousands of studies on the positive impact of nature on our wellbeing, there is no doubt that time spent outside is crucial to our mental health. Benefits include better cognitive functioning, improved mood, reduced feelings of isolation and anxiety, lower stress hormones and enhanced immune system function.

How it works:

We will meet in front of the LB building (on de Maisonneuve) at 12:30 for the mindful walk. During the walk, I will guide you on ways to be mindful while you walk. Sometimes we will go for a long walk (“Big Walk”) and really get moving! Other times we will go for a short walk (“Small Walk”) to slow down and take in everything around us.

If you have accessibility needs or questions (e.g., assistance to walk, ASL interpretation, sighted-guiding, etc.), please email Moire at moire.stevenson@concordia.ca as soon as possible so that we can be sure to address your needs.

No registration is necessary. You will be asked to present your student ID card at the beginning of the event.

The events will take place rain or shine!
