Come and explore the possibility of using certain movements and dance to nourish yourself, feel connected to ourselves and others, and have fun. In this workshop, we will bring our different relationships into movement using music and dance.

Dance Movement Therapy uses movements and dance to promote cognitive, emotional, physical and social integration. It endorses self-awareness, self-esteem and therapeutic space for expression of feelings.

No previous experience in dance is required!

Instructor: Tania Lazuk, PhD, R-DMT, is at present Scholar in Residence/Dance Movement Therapy at Concordia. She worked as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist in Ukraine for more than 10 years prior to coming to Canada. She offers both individual and group DMT sessions for different populations, and is one of the founding members of the Dance Movement Therapy Association in Canada.

Danc'Zen is a space to discover, practice or reconnect to dance as a way to find joy and enhance your wellbeing, by connecting to an art form that uses body movement as the main source of communication.
