The Concordia University Teach with Generative AI (GenAI) Faculty Interest Group is a monthly gathering dedicated to exploring the potential applications, benefits, and challenges of integrating GenAI technologies into teaching practices. This group serves as a collaborative platform for faculty to share experiences, discuss innovative ideas, and engage in research related to the use of GenAI in various educational contexts.

Key Objectives:

  1. Knowledge Sharing: Members have the opportunity to learn from each other's experiences, successes, and challenges in implementing GenAI tools in their classrooms.
  2. Pedagogical Innovations: Participants explore novel teaching strategies and methodologies that leverage the capabilities of GenAI to enhance student learning outcomes.
  3. Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives: The group welcomes faculty from diverse disciplines, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and promoting the development of interdisciplinary GenAI-based teaching approaches.
  4. Ethical Considerations: Members discuss the ethical implications of using GenAI, including data privacy, consent, bias, and the potential impact on student and faculty well-being.
