In this workshop we will learn all about our nervous system parts and how to both befriend and become competent operators of our nervous systems in the classroom and beyond. Together, through creative, experiential learning, we will spend time exploring our own areas of activation in the classroom and how to respond to ourselves and those around us in those moments when our protective responses come into play. Together we will discover what it means to cultivate nervous system aware classrooms and workplaces.

Please have some basic art supplies such blank paper, markers, crayons and or paint. Collage materials could also be an option.

Format: HyFlex workshop. It is encouraged to attend in-person but participants will have the option to join online via Zoom.

Facilitator(s): Katrina Grabner, LTA Lecturer, Department of Creative Arts Therapies, RCAT, RCC, SEP

Audience: Faculty, staff, TAs
