One of the major challenges faculty often face is getting together to talk about all things teaching and learning. Join us for a conversation and the exchange of pedagogical know-how as we explore the themes and things that can be solved together. For this exchange we’ll be talking about grading group work. Students are increasingly being asked to work on projects together to promote teamwork, engagement and collaboration. But designing and evaluating assignments can be challenging, especially when the students are required to submit their work as a group effort for a group mark. What strategies, models, rubrics work best and how can assessments be designed in ways that make grading manageable.
