Looking to get involved in student life? Curious about how organizations work? The Dean of Students Office and the Fee-Levy Associations of Concordia are hosting a workshop on Collective Governance so you can be prepared to help lead.

Content includes, but is not limited to:  

  • Roles & Responsibilities: Know Your Role and the Key Responsibilities of a Board Member 

  • What Makes a Good Director: Leadership in Action and how to be prepared to become an effective board member 

  • Types of Boards & Orgs: Understanding Governance Models and Finding the Right Fit for Your Organization 

  • Managing Leadership Changes: Smooth Transitions and Best Practices for Leadership Succession  

The workshop is led by Shylah Wolfe, governance facilitator from Co-Op Populus. Populus provides accessible accounting, administrative and financial management services to its members to help support and create resilient non-profits, coops and social enterprises.

The event is hybrid, a Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
