DirectionsThe Rise of Local Philanthropy explores what happened to different communities in Kampala, Uganda when borders closed and many international aid organizations shut down and removed their staff at the height of the pandemic, leaving many Ugandans without the aid they needed. Nevertheless, local organizations stepped in to fill the gap. This is their story.
