We're sitting down with Hannah Ahmadi Torshizi (Co-VP Outreach of WIE) and Zineb Bamouh (Director Marketing of WIE) to discuss the impact of university organizations like Women in Engineering, the importance of representation in STEM, and the unexpected skills that shape an engineering student’s journey.

Zineb is a third year engineering student. She started in Software before switching to Computer Engineering and has a particular interest in hardware. This is her first year with Women in Engineering and she is currently the Director of Marketing. Her involvement in WIE gives her an opportunity to advocates for the equality of minorities and to motivate other women in the field.
Hannah Ahmadi Torshizi
Hannah is a fourth year civil engineering student. This is her second year as part of the outreach team for Women in Engineering. Previously the Director of Outreach for elementary, she now occupies the position of Co-VP. Through the outreach program, she strives to inspire and guide young students towards the engineering world.
Chaaron Nahar Rahman
Chaaron is a Mechanical Engineering student completing her last year and the current VP Marketing for Women in Engineering. Alongside her studies, she has completed three internships at Pratt & Whitney and CN Rail. With four years of active involvement in WIE, she is passionate about championing equal opportunities in engineering.
Amanda Sanderson
Amanda is currently a second-year Aerospace Engineering student in the Aerodynamics and Propulsion concentration at Concordia University. While she studies, she works part-time, is an ambassador for Women in Engineering and likes to stay active. She loves to ask questions and learn, and her future ambitions include travelling the world and contributing to innovation and advancement in engineering.
