Facilitated by Amber Berson, this workshop will cover critical issues associated with writing for Wikipedia (e.g. diversity, access, empowerment), and also provide participants with hands-on skills for creating an article on Wikipedia and adding data and images to the commons. Using rainforest conservation in Sarawak, Borneo, and the blockades by Indigenous activists as key themes, participants will work together to create an article for Wikipedia from scratch.
This workshop is part of Sarah Turner's course HENV680: Advanced Seminar in Environmental Science.
